Twin Palms Resort Marina is located in Fruitland Park, about 15 minutes from Leesburg, in Central Florida. We are an hour north of Orlando and only an hour to an hour and a half from most Central Florida Attractions. Our Resort & Marina is on Lake Griffin, which is part of the Ocklawaha Chain of Lakes.
If you would like to make a reservation you can contact us by phone or email or book online. You'll need a Visa or Master Card to book online. If you prefer to pay by cash or check please call us to make the reservation. If you email us please include a phone number where we can reach you and we will phone you ASAP to discuss your needs regarding your stay at Twin Palms Resort & Marina.
We have boats you can rent, from canoes to pontoon boats. Many people enjoy a day on the water in our kayaks or take out a canoe for a relaxing time in the Florida sunshine. We have a few pontoon boats and cruiser for those who would rather have something more solid under their feet.
Yes, you can bring your own boat. However, please phone ahead to check on boat slip availability and pricing. By letting us know what type of boat, trailer, vehicle you have we can better direct you on how it can be stored when not in use because of the limited space available.
For an added treat for our guests we have guided boat tours. One of our most popular tours is the Saturday Night Wine & Cheese Cruise on Lake Griffin. The sunsets are amazing and a photographic montage of scapbook opportunities. Speaking of photography, we also offer, at reques, a Photography Cruise for those who want to catch images of nature in lieu of catching fish.
We have several wildlife species living in our area that are considered dangerous but the public seldom if ever sees them. Concerning the water, there are Large and Small Alligators which frequent the entrance to our canal and in the surrounding lakes and throughout the Chain of Lakes in Lake County and the surrounding Counties' waterways. It is strongly suggested that you follow safety regulations and not feed the Gators or other wildlife in the area. We also have Cottonmouth snakes, they are water loving snakes and are sometimes referred to as the Water Moccasin. It might be good at this point to say that of the 44 species of snakes in Florida there are only six that are poisonous. While staying at the Twin Palms Resort & Marina it is highly unlikely that you will have a person encounter with any of our wonderful wildlife; though we are certain you will see a Gator or two while out on the water.
We have a Convenience Store and Bait Shop were you can get some of the basic items you may need such as snacks, some food items, beverages, bait, and tackle.
When you go fishing and bring your catch back there is a cleaning room on site. The room is screened in and electricity, water, and disposal units are provided.
Just like any Marina we have gasoline and oil for purchase by our patrons. We have a gasoline pump with regular gasoline. Our price fluxuates depending on what it costs us to keep the pump flowing with that golden liquid so vital to cruising Florida waterways.
For those late nights when you're waiting for the sun to rise but can't sleep from anticipating the fishing trip there is always TV to keep you company, with over 70 channels to choose from. If that's not enough, then there are movie rentals available in our convenience store. So guys, please, when it is time to depart, please leave our remote control behind; the next guy needs to feel secure and in control of the TV too.
We have public restrooms and shower rooms for use by our guests. We understand that after a full day of being out in the sun and on the water fishing, you may be sweaty and smelly and not want to go into your RV or Cottage with the wild aroma of nature following you around.
We have limited RV spots available, please call ahead before deciding to bring your own RV. However, we have several "Permanent" RVs on our property already that you can rent during your stay at Twin Palms Resort & Marina. Please phone ahead of time to make reservations.
