A2.) At least two weeks in advance is advised for any season; however, as far in advance as possible for you will better guarantee that we have your rental ready. You can contact us by phone or email. If you email us we will phone you ASAP to discuss your needs regarding your stay at Twin Palms Resort & Marina. Back to Top
A3.) We do have a few boats you can rent, from bass boats to pontoon boats. We hope to add more boats to our fleet in the near future. Back to Top
A4.) Yes, you can bring your own boat. However, please phone ahead of time to check on boat slip availability. By letting us know what type of boat you have we can better direct you on how it can be stored when not in use. Back to Top

A6.) To fish in Florida you do have to have a Florida Fishing License. You can visit the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission's website to read more on who needs a fishing license and why. You can also download a PDF of the 2007-2008 Florida Fishing Regulations from our site. When their site is working you can also purchase a fishing license online. Back to Top
A7.) With a proper Florida Fishing License you may fish in any area in the Chain of Lakes or Ponds throughout Lake County and our surrounding area. Where there are signs posted "No Fishing" it is probably a pretty good indication that you shouldn't be fishing there. Back to Top
A8.) We have several wildlife species living in our area that are considered dangerous but the public seldom if ever sees them. Concerning the water, there are Large and Small Alligators which frequent the entrance to our canal and in the surrounding lakes and throughout the Chain of Lakes in Lake County and the surrounding Counties' waterways. It is strongly suggested that you follow safety regulations and not feed the Gators or other wildlife in the area. We also have Cottonmouth snakes, they are water loving snakes and are sometimes referred to as the Water Moccasin. It might be good at this point to say that of the 44 species of snakes in Florida there are only six that are poisonous. While staying at the Twin Palms Resort & Marina it is highly unlikely that you will have a person encounter with any of our wonderful wildlife; though we are certain you will see a Gator or two while out on the water. Download the Alligator Brochure PDF here. Back to Top
A9.) We do have a Convenience Store and Bait Shop at Twin Palms Resort & Marina. We are very proud of our new addition to the resort. Here you can get many items you may need such as snacks, some food items, beverages, bait, and tackle. Back to Top
A10.) This is a very good question! We are not very far from many local attractions. South East of us we have all of the Disney attractions and Sea World, Universal Studios, Wonder Works, Wet 'n Wild, Mystery Fun House and many others in the Orlando Area. South West of us is Busch Gardens. South of us is Cypress Gardens. North of East of us is Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, The Daytona Speedway, and St. Augustine. North of us is Silver Springs. West of us is Homasassa Springs. There are too many attractions to list here, but to make the point, we are within a couple of hours from every attraction mentioned. Back to Top
A11.) As mentioned in answer to question 9, yes there is a place you can buy bait and tackle on Twin Palms Resort & Marina property. There should be little need to venture miles down the road in search of bait or tackle for your fishing trip. We are striving to have everything you would need to make a full day of fun and fishing. Back to Top
A12.) We have a cleaning room on site. It is always clean and the room is screened in. There is running water and disposal units provided in the fish cleaning room; we even provide electricity if you want to use your electric knife to fillet with. Back to Top
A13.) Some of our patrons like to display their larger catches before preparing them for the fry pan. We provide a live well where you can put those fish you wish to show off or keep alive until you can get to them. The live-well has a paddle wheel to keep the water airated. Back to Top
A14.) Just like any Marina we would not be complete without being able to provide gasoline to our patrons. We have a gasoline pump with regular gasoline. Our price fluxuates depending on what it costs us to keep the pump flowing with that golden liquid so vital to cruising Florida waterways. Back to Top
A15.) For those late nights when you're waiting for the sun to rise but can't sleep from anticipating the fishing trip there is always TV to keep us company. Our TV reception is provided by a local cable provider with over 40 channells to choose from. Back to Top
A16.) We have clean public restrooms and a shower room to be used by our guests. We understand that after a full day of being out in the sun and on the water fishing, you may be sweaty and smelly and not want to go into your RV or Cottage until you've cleaned up. Back to Top
A17.) We have limited Drive In RV spots available, please call ahead to ensure there is one open for you. However, we have several "Permanent" RVs on our property already that you can rent during your stay at Twin Palms Resort & Marina. Please phone ahead of time to make reservations. Back to Top |
